Born in Rome in 1963, Tommaso Pincio (pseudonym of Marco Colapietro) is the author of several novels and books of various kinds, including Love-shaped Story, a fictional biography of an imaginary friend of Kurt Cobain’s. Pincio is a regular contributor to major Italian newspapers, and has produced Italian translations of F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jack Kerouac, Philip K. Dick and other American and British writers. He is also an amateur exhibiting portraitist. Since 2015, he has served as an advisor in literature for the American Academy in Rome.
