Sophie grew up in London and studied at the Royal College of Music. Since graduating she has worked in both theatre and film as a composer / arranger, including roles at Shakespeare’s Globe, The National Theatre and Park Theatre in London. Amongst others, she has written music for Don't Wake Me: The Ballad of Nihal Armstrong (dir. Guy Slater, St James Theatre), Little Black Book (dir. Kate Fahy, Park Theatre), as well as assisting Claire Van Kampen in her production of Farinelli and the King in the Sam Wannermaker Playhouse and in the West End at the Duke of York’s Theatre. In 2015 she composed the score for the film Unlined, (dir. John Micahel Muskos) which was shortlisted for the National Independent Film Awards. Currently She is composing a section of the score for the BFI / Globe collaborative film Silent Shakespeare.

Sophie is also an actress and recently appeared in the Oscar-winning short film Stutterer.
