Pablo Hare (Lima, 1972) studied Media and Photography in Lima and Filmmaking at the International Film School in San Antonio, Cuba. He has been a resident at the Academy for Media Arts, Köln, and at the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris; as well as co-director of Galería del Escusado (2002-2003) and co-founder of the artist run space and collective Espacio La Culpable  (2002-2008), both based in Lima, Perú. In 2008, while living in Bristol, UK, he started Toromuerto Press, an ongoing independent publishing project that is an integral part of his artistic practice. He has shown his work in America and Europe including the Sao Paulo Biennial, the Tate Modern, the Museo de Arte de Lima, the Museo Tamayo and the International Center of Photography. He is director and editor of Garúa, a non-profit art space and publishing project in the city of Lima, where he lives with his partner and daughter.
