Mikhail Karikis is a London-based artist who studied at The Slade School (UCL) and the Bartlett (UCL). Karikis works with sound, video and performance to create immersive audiovisual installations. In collaboration with different working communities he explores the voice as a sculptural material and a sociopolitical agent, and foregrounds subcultures that present alternative models of human existence, action and production. Karikis’s works have been exhibited internationally. Karikis’s sound works have been published worldwide by Bjork, Dj Spooky and on Sub Rosa label.
