Kambui Olujimi was born and raised in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn and received his BFA from Parsons School of Design, New York and MFA from Columbia University, New York. He works in a variety of media, ranging from film to installation to photography, and his projects have often included viewer participation exploring social practices such as dream interpretation, penny wishing, and photo sharing.  He has had solo exhibitions at the de Saisset Museum, California; apexart, New York; and Art in General, New York. His works have been included in group exhibitions at the Museo Nacional Reina Sofia, Madrid; Studio Museum in Harlem, New York; and the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
