Hannah Sanghee Park is the author of the book The Same-Different (LSU Press), the 2014 winner of The Academy of American Poets Walt Whitman Award. The book received a starred review from Publishers Weekly, and a place in Poets & Writers Top Ten Debut Poets 2015. She holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop, where she was a Truman Capote Fellow and Provost’s Postgraduate Fellow. Park has received artist grants from Washington and Iowa, and fellowships and honors from The U.S. Fulbright Program, The CBS Writers Program, The MacDowell Colony, The Poetry Foundation (Ruth Lilly Fellowship), and elsewhere. She taught at the University of Iowa, where she was awarded an Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award. Park is a recent graduate of the Writing for Screen & Television Program at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where she was an Annenberg Fellow and the recipient of the Jay Roach Endowed Award.  She was named one of Variety’s “110 Students to Watch” for her film and television writing, and a short script she wrote showcased at the 2016 Sundance New Frontier Program.
